What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® has the same purpose as traditional metal braces, but clear plastic aligners are used instead of metal wires and brackets. The plastic that is used for the aligners is lightweight, and it is designed in order to fit perfectly in each individual patient’s mouth. The plastic is BPA free. This treatment has been in use since 1999 and has made a name for itself in the world of cosmetic dentistry.
Why Choose Invisalign®?
When you choose to use Invisalign® after meeting with our doctor, Danilee K. Baldwin, DDS, MSD, PS, you are going to see that several advantages are offered when using Invisalign® over traditional metal braces. Some of these benefits include:
- They Are Almost Invisible
- They Are Comfortable to Wear
- They Can Be Easily Removed
- They Are Less Painful Than Traditional Metal Braces
After a consultation at our Redmond office and using Invisalign® aligners, our patients have been able to achieve fantastic results. They enjoy a more youthful smile with straight and attractive teeth.
Patients who use Invisalign® can avoid the discomfort and embarrassment that comes with traditional metal braces. Teenagers no longer feel awkward, and adults are able to maintain professionalism in their place of work.
Is Invisalign® for Everyone?
Dr. Baldwin has been able to treat many patients successfully using Invisalign®. And while most people will qualify for Invisalign® treatments, it is not necessarily for everyone. It can can help people with the following conditions:
- Deep Bite
- Open Bite
- Midline Shift
- Spacing Issues
What is the Invisalign® Process?
After meeting with Dr. Baldwin, a set of plastic aligners will be specially designed to fit your teeth and deal with your specific dental issue. You will be given a set of new aligners every two weeks. Since these are removable, you can take them out when you brush and floss your teeth and when you eat and drink. Over time, and as the aligners continue to change, your teeth are going to move little by little. You will likely have scheduled visits every month or two in order to chart your progress and have new aligners designed.
When you visit Redmond Orthodontics, you can expect personal attention and high quality care. Dr. Baldwin provides a personal and gentle touch when working with all of her patients and is dedicated to ongoing education in order to meet the needs of her patients, younger and older individuals alike.
